The FICCI Centre for Sustainability Leadership has been established to assist businesses achieve sustainability through appropriate strategies and implementation processes. The Centre was set up in partnership with Hindustan Unilever Limited as the founding member in 2023 and has been helping businesses adopt sustainable pathways through relevant interventions and ecosystem-based approaches that promote sustainable consumption, sustainable production, and sustainable lifestyles. In 2024, HSBC India joined the Centre as a co-founding member. The Centre’s ambition is to help accelerate India Inc.’s climate action in line with Government’s net-zero commitments embodied in the ‘Panchamrit’ framework. It also works towards adoption of sustainable consumption and circular economy in line with Government’s ‘Mission LiFE’ mantra integrating environmentally responsible principles throughout value chains.
